The year at Mayfield was full of energy and accomplishment, from the long‑awaited staging of Beauty and the Beast to the strong performances of spring athletes and the joy of an enchanted forest prom. Students shined in theater, athletics, and leadership, and the senior class celebrated its graduation at the Palace Theater. The newsletter also shared the retirement of longtime board members Nancy West and Judy Delfs, the appointment of Lisa Benedetti, and the return of Honors Day, where scholarships were awarded to a remarkable number of seniors. Throughout these stories, the pride in the students and the gratitude toward the alumni community came through clearly. As one line from the document put it, “Prom was a magical celebration for the upperclassmen and a bittersweet goodbye to the seniors.”

The issue also looked back at the origins of the Alumni Association, tracing its beginnings to a single unmet objective in the late seventies that sparked Wayne Farinacci’s effort to build something lasting. That history sat alongside glimpses into earlier decades through “Wildcattin’ with Kitty,” tributes to beloved coaches, and pages of reunion announcements that showed how deeply connected the classes remain. The newsletter closed with updates on the golf outing, new inductees to the Staff Hall of Fame, and a remembrance section honoring alumni who have passed. It carried the same steady message found throughout the document: this community remembers its people, celebrates its milestones, and keeps finding ways to stay together. One passage captured that spirit well: “All had a great time marching down memory lane.”
