The school year at Mayfield was full of energy and pride as students moved through a busy spring. Halls were buzzing with seniors feeling the weight of their final semester and freshmen settling into their new confidence. Prom at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was a highlight, where “students ate and then danced for hours and hours on end” before Alex Scampitila and Elizabeth Reisman were crowned. Sports and arts thrived as well. Baseball had a standout season with a 20–8 record and multiple All Ohio honors, and the spring musical Shrek drew praise for a cast whose chemistry “you could see from the last row of the auditorium” . Academically, the senior class shined with National Merit scholars, a perfect ACT score, and an AP Calculus team that ranked first in Ohio.
The Alumni Association continued its tradition of supporting students, awarding $28,500 in scholarships to 37 seniors. The newsletter also honored alumni and staff who passed away, celebrated class reunions across decades, and highlighted community events like the annual golf outing and Memorabilia Night, where volunteers helped restore and display pieces of Mayfield history. One of the most memorable additions was the unveiling of the Olde Clock and Control Box, a relic that once “ran all the clocks and bells in the old high school on SOM Center Rd.” The issue closed with stories of dedication, including tributes to longtime staff and alumni whose contributions continue to shape the spirit of the Wildcats.
