The Fall/Winter 2004 issue of The Alumni Voice celebrates the strength and spirit of the Mayfield community, highlighting the success of the January reunion‑planning meeting, where representatives from more than twenty classes shared lessons learned and common challenges. As the newsletter notes, “Over twenty classes and fifty graduates attended the meeting,” reflecting a genuine desire to make future reunions more organized, affordable, and enjoyable. The issue also shines a light on recent class gatherings, including the Class of ’69’s lively evening of reminiscing and the Class of ’54’s three‑day celebration filled with laughter, good food, and heartfelt reunions. Alongside these stories, the Association proudly acknowledges hundreds of scholarship donors whose generosity continues to support Mayfield students.
This edition also honors the people who shaped Mayfield’s legacy. The Staff Hall of Fame induction recognized Carrie Jackson, Harriet Bush, and the late Edward Siebenhar for their decades of dedication, noting how each “felt a genuine sense of appreciation for all they had given in the past to the Mayfield student body.” The newsletter further commemorates alumni and staff who have passed, announces the establishment of the Mayfield Veterans Memorial, and welcomes new members to the Association. With updates on upcoming reunions, the unveiling of the new alumni webpage, and community events like the Mayfield–Brush Golf Scramble, the issue captures the enduring pride, connection, and tradition that define the Mayfield alumni family.
