Mayfield High School has had a lively and memorable year, filled with achievements that show the spirit of our Wildcat community. Homecoming drew record crowds as students celebrated “A Night in Twilight Gardens,” where Kirsten Favazzo and Chris Arihilam were crowned Queen and King, each humbled and honored to represent their classmates . The football team made school history with twelve wins and a Final Four playoff run, driven by strong senior leadership and standout performances from Brian Hunter and Andy Isabella. The arts thrived as well, with the fall production of 12 Angry Jurors earning praise from audiences and cast members alike, and excitement already building for the spring musical, Grease .

The school also honored four distinguished alumni—Nancy West, Walter Podgurski, Dr. Cathy Sila, and Benjamin Grasso—whose stories of leadership, service, and excellence inspired students during the Hall of Fame assembly. Their journeys, from groundbreaking careers in business and medicine to national recognition in athletics and the arts, reminded us of the lasting impact of a Mayfield education . With ongoing community projects like the Alumni Pavilion and spirited events such as Game Night and the annual Golf Outing, the bond between past and present Wildcats continues to grow stronger. As student contributors, we look forward to sharing even more of what makes Mayfield such a special place.
