The Fall/Winter 2016 issue of The Alumni Voice celebrates the energy and accomplishments of the Mayfield community, from spirited student events to the achievements of alumni spanning decades. The Homecoming season brought the school together as Claire Pugel and Bram Pritchard were crowned royalty, with Claire sharing, “I was so ecstatic to be able to represent my school.” The issue highlights academic excellence through the induction of 55 new NHS members and athletic pride with the girls’ soccer team’s championship season. Alumni stories deepen the sense of legacy, including Hal Doster’s vivid recollections of his family’s roots in Mayfield and his gratitude for the teachers who shaped him, noting he uses something Ms. Wallace taught him “every day.” The newsletter also honors distinguished graduates such as Linda Silakoski and David Liederbach, whose careers in law, education, and global technology leadership reflect the values instilled at Mayfield.
The publication also strengthens community ties by spotlighting upcoming events, reunions, and opportunities for alumni engagement. From the annual Golf Outing and “Game Night” fundraiser to the growing Alumni Museum, the Association encourages graduates to stay connected and contribute to preserving Mayfield’s history. Faculty updates share warm glimpses into the lives of beloved teachers enjoying retirement, while the In Memoriam section honors those who have passed. Throughout, the newsletter reinforces the enduring Wildcat spirit—one built on shared memories, service, and the belief that Mayfield remains, as always, a place where success is nurtured and community thrives.
