Mayfield High School has had a lively and memorable year, from a neon‑lit Homecoming—where Olivia Casey and John Catalano were crowned Queen and King—to a string of athletic triumphs that showcased the school’s spirit. The girls’ soccer team delivered a historic run with four straight district titles, while the tennis program celebrated freshman standout Hannah Kassaie’s trip to the state tournament. Academic excellence shone as well, with forty students inducted into NHS and the launch of the 1:1 Chromebook initiative, a shift that “expanded what teachers can do in the classroom” and allowed students to carry their learning anywhere. The Alumni Association continued its tradition of engagement through scholarship support, community events, and new fundraisers like the Super Bowl Squares, all reinforcing the deep pride shared across generations.
The newsletter also highlights the growing Alumni Museum—now taking shape in the old Humanities Library—as a living archive built from donated uniforms, class rings, photos, and memorabilia that “shout Mayfield.” Alumni achievements take center stage with profiles of Jane Blackburn Bornemeier, Richard Marabito, Stephanie Teresi‑Thompson, and Brandon Leffler, whose careers span journalism, corporate leadership, military service, and Broadway. Reunion updates, memorials, and celebrations of the Alumni Pavilion’s expanding use round out the issue, painting a picture of a community that remembers its past, supports its present, and stays joyfully connected through every season of life.
