Mayfield was buzzing with energy this spring as students celebrated milestones and showcased their talents. Prom lit up La Vera Party Center with a “Starry Night” theme inspired by Van Gogh, crowning Chloey DiBartolo and Ryan Evans as royalty. The high school musical, The Little Mermaid, drew sold‑out crowds over two weekends, highlighting the district’s deep support for the arts and earning Brianna Mosley a prestigious Playhouse Square Dazzle Award. On the fields and courts, athletes shined—from the baseball team’s strong playoff run to standout performances by track stars Josie Conti and Bobby Casey, who both competed at the state meet. The season culminated in the 118th Commencement at the Connor Palace Theatre, honoring Valedictorian Ilya Yatsishin and Salutatorian Samantha Tam.
The Alumni Association continued its tradition of supporting excellence, awarding a record $26,500 in scholarships to 33 deserving seniors whose achievements spanned academics, athletics, arts, leadership, and service. The newsletter also honored the memories of alumni and staff who passed away, celebrated the success of the Super Bowl Squares fundraiser, and highlighted a record‑breaking turnout at the annual golf outing. Reunion plans for classes spanning 1958 to 1990 filled the calendar, while the Alumni Museum received renewed attention with reorganized displays and expanded historical archives. With staff recognitions returning and community events on the horizon, the spirit of Mayfield pride remains as strong as ever.
